St. Edward’s University

Founded in 1885, St. Edward’s University is a private university located in Austin, Texas. With an undergraduate enrollment of close to 4,000, St. Edward’s boasts a beautiful urban campus situated amongst 160 acres.

St. Edward’s chose to expand their fitness spaces to meet the health and wellness needs of their students. The 12,400-square-foot addition was built to accommodate innovative fitness and recreation opportunities. St. Edward’s new fitness facilities include: a fitness studio, strength and conditioning area, and a wellness center with a connection to the center of campus.

THE TRUE EXPERIENCE

Facility Planning

Through careful facility planning, TRUE was able to accommodate by helping St. Edward’s plan the future of the facility while also designing temporary and functional spaces for the St. Edward’s community to utilize their fitness equipment.

St. Edward’s University installed a range of premium TRUE strength equipment to meet the demands of its fitness facility. St. Edward’s selected our newest selectorized strength equipment, the Palladium Series, and chose to have the shrouds customized with their mascot.

St. Edward’s University installed a variety of TRUE Fitness equipment ranging from treadmills to strength. This allowed them to give their students a diverse range of equipment to choose from for their workout needs.

From the beginning, the TRUE team has felt like an extension of our SEU RecWell family. Our sales partner, Derek, provided quick responses and an in-depth tour of the TRUE headquarters in Saint Louis. The team at TRUE has always been more than a vendor providing equipment to us. TRUE provided unsolicited feedback to our new gym setup, helped support renovations, showed up and discussed their equipment with our students during product demos, assisted with converting part of our facility into a functional training space, and created a variety of mock renderings showing equipment layouts to build up excitement amongst the SEU RecWell community. During install, Derek was there every step of the way. After we completed the install, having Randy come down and train our staff on the use of the equipment and the best ways to maintain the new equipment has created a much-improved user experience since we opened.”
