What is The FITX System?
FITX stands for Foot Impact Transfer System. It is a cushioning and stability system incorporated into the deck of the treadmill to provide better shock absorption. It provides cushions upon initial impact, where your foot hits the belt towards the front, and then transitions to a firm, secure surface for push-off, with added rigidity farther back. This provides more lateral stability throughout, eliminating deck shift from side to side. The benefit is less stress on the ankles, knees, hips, and back.
On Impact
The front bumpers absorb the shock on impact of the heel from the top half of the deck.

Pushing Off
As the foot and belt move toward the back of the deck, the correct amount of support creates a powerful push off.

The Result
The FITX System creates a regular and controlled running surface. On impact it’s easier on the knees and ankles, but transitions to a stable push off, eliminating lateral movement.

Proven Health Benefits

More Effective at Burning Fat
An independent, 3rd party lab study demonstrated a significant reduction in the user’s body composition, most notably in their waist and arm size, after consistently incorporating the Alpine Runner in their workouts. Thanks to the one-touch access to incline/decline and speed variation, users naturally opted for more intense, engaging sessions—without external motivation.
From hiking to high-intensity interval runs, the Alpine Runner mimics natural terrain changes, encouraging users to push further, go faster, and enjoy the ride. Whether you’re walking or climbing, your body works harder—and smarter.
Greater Caloric Output
With 30% incline and -3% decline, the TRUE Alpine Runner provides a more challenging workout. This independent, 3rd party study showed users of the TRUE Alpine Runner consistently self-selected higher speeds and incline levels, which burns more calories and resulted in over 2x more daily mileage compared to conventional treadmill users. (31.09 mi/day vs. 15.06 mi/day)

Improves Metabolic Efficiency
The study demonstrates that Alpine Runner users significantly improved fat utilization at rest, signifying an improvement in metabolic efficiency. Metabolic efficiency is how well the body utilizes fat as an energy source and is a key component of weight loss. Significant reductions in waist and arm circumference were seen in Alpine Runner users, despite no coaching or prompting to use incline settings.
